Hello Sandy - top artist grade paint, best prices. Re the fluid acrylics, I like how they built the line around the watercolorist palette, very smart. :)
Well, the flag is beautifully painted only the way you could do it!
I will keep in mind about what you mentioned to Sandy about the fluid acrylics colors being like watercolor colors when I someday proceed to try painting in acrylics! It would be very helpful!
Joshemari - gracias amigo, and I hope to see you in BCN again soon (with more time!)
Rhonda - hello and thanks. I've been told the style was in place long ago, but I'm not sure that's a good thing, anyway. Signature styles often lead to stagnation and repetition of successful schemes. You see it constantly. I like Alex Kanevsky's admonition: The moment something works well and is under control - is the time to give it up and try something else.
Well, you do have a few techniques that you use that makes one recognize a Nick Simmons painting - I don't think I'd get rid of that winning recipe - just toss in a bunch of new stuff and stir the pot a little more (which I know you are always doing anyway!).

Kathleen - my little-known patriotic side!

Good ad. I think I would have known who painted that flag - you are getting a signature style to your paintings :) Happy Memorial Day!

Just LOVE it!!! Congratualations Nicholas!!
Rhonda - I'm a bit behind here, only about five months, lol...yes, keep the experimentation going, I think that keeps the mind in receiving mode.
Helen - I know it recently appeared in some magazines, and it's on the new DVP website
