Well done Nicko!!!
I'm very, very pleased to hear of this, considering my initial thoughts on this painting.

Vindicated....a breezy feeling, hmmmmm.

chris - I dig Skip's work and Chris Franklin's!

Dake - thanks mate, it's a lot of verde..and I wasn't even under the influence of the green muse. Chilling!

Man...you are on fire lately, Mr.! Congratulations!! i loved this bug's eye view of a lawn the first time i saw it. and you used green, too!!! wasn't it you that thought green was invented by the devil? or something like that.......

Green Muse? ...Oh The Absinthe, of course. Must get one of those bottles with the gigantic beetle, hmmmmmm.

Good times again Nicholas! Well earned as the grass piece is another triumph of your methodology. And we're still early into '08.. what's next?

Dawn - I was never sure about it, but I could have been wrong! :D

Billie - never really had a problem with green myself, but I know many do. Bruce MacEvoy wrote an interesting thing about it (must be on handprint)and how people see it differently.

Dake - it's legal here again, and all the rage at trendy spots. I'll take a double...hold the beetle.

Bill - I have something in the works that owes an idea or two to you. Hoping to make it a closer, I need the coffee!

Nick, seems your face is popping up everywhere lately. i just received an email from Jerry's Artarama. they're running a sale on DaVinci watercolors and fluid acrylics. when i clicked the link there you were with your famous demo shot. you are the 'face' of DaVinci!

Bring it on!

The grass looks greener over on this side of the bloggosphere. (Should that be one g or two?). Fabulous grass, man! Congrats. Hey, I'm still waiting for my catalog from Jerry's with your face in it. That'll be a keepsake.

David - thanks for message, I'll check out your site

Billie - Da Vinci is doing lots of promotion, it's really been nice working with them - a great company with a very hip attitude and vision

Bill - coming right up, should close this weekend

Michelle - thanks, it was a way to use up some green paint!

Silvina - x-posted..yes, a real keepsake..a family heirloom to be passed down. Just think if I autograph it for you next time I'm in town! :D

Congrats Nick on another great painting and another big win! Only you could make grass look so interesting.

By the way, I've seen your DiVinci ads popping up too. Soon you won't be able to walk the street without being stopped for your autograph. ;)

Excellent Nick! Beautiful piece.
I've been out of the loop for a while and I see you have been very busy as usual. I don't know how you find enough hours in the day!

Stacy - nice to see another face from the old neighborhood!

Celeste - sounds like you're planning on being there. I'm going to have an extra ace and a derringer up my sleeve. :)

Sandra - I need to comment on the blogs more often, but I do stop by yours frequently for inspiration!
