"Innovative Watermedia" DVD Released

Innovative Watermedia, my DVD from Creative Catalyst Productions is now available! They are taking pre-orders and offering $5 off - click here for the page on the CCP site.

Another trailer has been posted on Youtube, see below.

There is also a trailer on Vimeo.

I think the DVD was worth the wait....there was an enormous amount of footage and CCP is very exacting about editing, sound, and graphics. It was a shot on a set made especially for this project, and it also features my own original music. (I don't think anyone else out there has done that) I'm really happy and proud to be on the CCP roster of artists, and look forward to doing more with them in the future. They're the best!

Sandy - thanks for the order, can't be cheap shipping it all the way to Oz

Dake - ditto, and a few more mile to Perth

Billie - I imagine the price break applied, ask them to make sure

Chris - can't guarantee it will have the entertainment value of the NCR/Pike/Ohio Public Schools collaboration....but what does? heheh

Dawn - I know you're in the NW someplace, you might get the first copy...could be valuable. ;)

Ruth - good to hear from you. Sold a big painting in Bethesda this week, that wasn't you was it?

At last! I like the way they positioned the camera so as not to miss a trick. Really good looking technique, delivery, content .. etc. Just the beginning of great things to come... one can be sure of that. Kudos to you Nicholas!

Hi Nick,
just ordered your DVD, really awesome to see you work in the preview trailer.

can't wait....!
cya!

PG - koi, flamenco dancers, and weeds....c'mon you can come up with something a lot better than that!

Bill - they use 5 cameras so there is a lot of editing to be done in order to capture the best shot at any given time. Nobody goes to the lengths CCP does to really show what an artist is doing. I've enjoyed our 6 Degrees of Bill Moore game...small world, isn't it?

David - just checked out the blog, love that portrait, and thanks for the plug

Rob - great to hear from you, I need to stop by and see what kind of mindbender you have underway.

Hey Nick! Thanks for coming by my blog today! I am honored. I have been watching your work since last year's NWS award and am highly impressed with your sense of design. Would like to swap links with you, if you are game.

YAY! About time!!! I've chewed off all my fingernails down to the quick waiting and waiting - but they'll be grown back and out by the time I get your DVD. Just ordered it - thanks for telling us about the $5 off for the preorder. I might just try this on my pelican painting next time!

Hi, Nick! I ordered your DVD and got it in less than a week. I can't believe the fast turnaround. It's wonderful! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it, and how well you explained not only how you did everything, but why. I will recommend it to all my friends.

RH Carpenter said...

I'm definitely recommending it to all my painting friends - it's everything you want a DVD on painting to be - well explained, great photography up close and personal on those brushes and pours, and some good music to go along with it (plus a great gallery of your work and more music as a bonus). Well done (fingernails are now back, I've spent the $5 I saved, but life still doesn't get much better).

Michelle - I appreciate the purchase and hope you get something from it you can use. It's selling very well, and I look forward to doing another - it will be completely different.

Rhonda - a very funny post, thanks for stopping by. CCP does such a good job with all the camera angles, graphics, and meticulous editing. I'm glad to have this bunch of techniques and subject documented, I'm thinking about the next one already.
